Hi Hive I need your opinion on our French Elegance centerpieces. This is the theme of our wedding as it is being held in an 1800’s castle inspired by French architecture (oh and my Fiance speaks French and we are honeymooning in PARIS!) Anywho, I wanted to do something unique yet elegant for our centerpieces and this is what I came up with. The teacups I’ve been collecting as consignment store hunting is a hobby of mine, and my fiance and I met at Starbucks/got engaged in a Starbucks so I feel it kind of ties that part of our story in. Unfortunately our venue doesn’t allow real flame, so I have led candles, where the light is sunk into the center so you don’t see the tacky fake flame. Just wanted everyone’s opinions as I’ve changed it around a few times. Each table will have one candelabra with candle, and four teacups around the base. Three of the teacups will be filled with flowers (these are just fake flowers as a mock up, our real flowers will be soft pink roses and antique green hydrangea). The table number has the eiffel tower on it and will be leaning against a teacup. My questions are this: Should I get gold tablecloths? I’ve been kicking around the idea of getting gold pintuck or pinwheel tableclothes to add extra oomph as the tableclothes the venue provides are just a light ivory/white polyester. This is a big investment so I wanted opinons (and if anyone would like to go in on them let me know!). Also wanted opinions on the candle. Is it overly fake looking? Should I maybe add lace or pearls to it, or leave as is? Thanks everyone!
