I love history and old timey stuff so I definitely wanted parchment invites. It went best with dark brown cardstock which a friend gave me. Parchment is ‘copper’, got 500 sheets from Office Depot online. I used this theme for everything: invites, rsvps, placecards, programs, I spy game, signs, etc. I also love old medieval lingo which I incorporated into the wording on front and back.
Pocketfolds are nice but not something I wanted to mess around with so I simply glued formal invite on the front, and further information on the back. Easy. Did same for rsvp, only smaller. Used Celtic/Norse knot shore themed art for front and rsvp as seashore was our theme because thats where he proposed, and a tree of Yggdrasil for back as I am Heathen and our ceremony was Heathen. A folded parchment sheet with directions and a map was also included.
I tried burning the edges but it was hard to control so I ended up just raggedly handcutting each piece of parchment on the edges to give it a old worn look. If I had more time and energy I might have distressed the edges with paint, but I was past that point, lol.
For the RSVP I used what another Bee (Sorry cant rememeber who!) had posted with the 4 choices, EVERYONE got a kick out them!
