So I mentioned before that these are my centerpieces. I have at *least* 22 8′ banquet tables (mostly end to end). This is a lot of table space. On them I have white linens ordered and I know that my centerpiece will only take up about 12 inches or less of a footprint so I was thinking of adding a few things.
I like the idea of fruit bowls. I can’t decide if I want them in matching or unmatching bowls. I think matching would help to bring everything together (since my centerpieces are unmatching). But I also like the idea of it looking more like Grandma’s dinner table then like a commercialized space.
Inside the bowls I am picturing lemons and limes. They go perfect with the greens and yellows in our flowers for the other centerpieces.
Things I am thinking to use for putting the fruit in are baskets, white porcelain, crystal – or a wood box similiar to a window box (but shorter). The boxes or baskets are the cheapest route – but I am really loving the idea of the white porcelain.
Other then that I want to have picture frames with our engagement pictures, our instagram sign, thank you’s scattered between the fruit bowls and centerpieces.
Lastly, because I know the book stacks will only go for 15 of the centerpieces – I will need to intersperse a woodslice under my centerpieces. I will probably do this for every other one and try to fit at least two centerpieces on each 8′ table.
Also, scattered on the table I have about 80 of these cowbells. It’s an homage to his family’s farm (they raise beef cows). I think they should be used for the kissing – since we have plastic cups 🙂
I have a little over 50 antique keys I could spread around too.
But as I was doing my search for them I saw a lot of people using them for the seating chart…which I still can’t decide if I want to do. I have table numbers but was thinkign these would be used by guests to say ‘I am over at table 15’ since we will have so many. But seeing the inspo of the seating charts and the pinspo of easy ways to organize the chart….I am having second thoughts.
