We used http://www.paperlesspost.com/ for our save the dates. We printed and mailed some for the older generation and for our parents, but for the most part everyone was sent an email.
While it’s not free to do these, (about $30) it’s still a great website. Paperless Post lets you track who has opened it, and allows you to resend for free. The best part for us was that we asked everyone for their mailing address as well, so people responded via this site. Everyone opened it!

That is a great site – wish I had used it and saved all that paper and stamps.
🙂 Plus I love the penguins. Are you using this as a theme or just for this STD?

Nope – our theme is cozy winter – I wanted to use the ice in the STD for a winter vibe, and the penguins were bonus!
We had some leftover credits from making the STD’s, so we’ll likely use the site again for our rehearsal dinner.

Awesome. Good luck in your planning.
Mr.10 picked out our invitations and they have liltte birds on them – totally not OUR thing – but little birds have started creeping in to things. I don’t mind, but it’s just kind of funny.
