Hmmm… I’m not too sure about the balloon look… It almost looks too much like a “birthday party” rather than a wedding… so I am with you… what about getting tall vases?? and either do like floating candles over submerged white roses??

something like this but with white roses instead:

Or tall vases with the white flowers on top and you could add some branches in between the roses and other tall greenery to make it “taller”:

I can see where your concept is going, but it’s just not quite there. It might be cute at a candy table or kid’s table. Here is a vision that I think is similar, yet more ‘adult like’.

I LOVE BALLOONS!!!!  (I am using them too!!!) I am not sure about the roses though.  I am doing a short dish with floating candles in the center of the table with balloons at different heights at the different tables!

And for those who think balloons are “not wedding” enough:

I’m obsessed since balloons are what I am using as my central decor…Like this:

I love this table set-up too:

And the picture that got me fired up to use balloons in the first place:

I think you’re on the right track, but I agree it needs a little something more–how about adding smaller balloons–maybe in one of your wedding colors–as a “collar” at the base of the big balloon? Something like this:

You could do just one row of balloons under the big one, and then attach it to your roses. It’s much easier to do than it looks–pm or email me if you would like instructions, I’d be happy to help. You could also add lights to the vase. especially if your wedding is in the evening–there are lights called floralytes that can go into water, something like this:

Congrats and Best Wishes!

okay – you changed my mind –  I thought it looked to Birthday Partyish too.  But the photos attached at the bottom it looks beautiful.  I would just becareful the balloons don’t obstruct view or the wind isn’t blowing or they are tied to something a super excited toddler won’t want to haul it away knocking over your other centerpieces in the process.  Congrats

I think balloons are very birthday party-ish. Why don’t you try hanging paper lanterns. They will be more cost effective and still have that chic look you seem to be going for.

I think depending on how you use the ballon it can look great, not like a birthday party.

I am having my wedding reception in a pub and was considering some oversized ballons too … my inspiration pictures:
