Hi my background is traditional mexican too ( i’m mexican born) , answering your question it dosen’t look gothic or funeralish , but is not bridal enough (for traditional mexican ),but it’s a beautiful dress , if you feel comfortable go for it , just be prepared for the family gossip 🙁

I LOVE this dress. Im not sure about the color, but the dress itself is gorgeous. I wanted a dress like this too but in red as my 2nd dress. If its the dress, u originally chose, dont second guess yourself. Its what you wanted, so dont let others change your mind.

I think it’s beautiful! But I have the same dress in white, so I may be biased, lol!

the dress is STUNNING but

1. you husband to be OR better yet his family might see it as funeral-ish and be offended

2. if theres a lot of black in the decor ull blend in, not stand out

3. and most important: ure having doubts (i would not say anything if you didnt). the right dress should make u cry happy tears and give you a huuuuge confidence boost.

that being said, the dress is fierce so my advice … this ur hubbys first wedding maybe? give him a blushing bride for the first part of the day then change into this dress and give him a sexy wife!

NOT funerialish, NOT gothic it’s a gorgeous dress, love the shape and the concept of your veil and it definately falls into the theme of everything else you have put together, it seems perfect and your mom is right, if you love it that’s all that matters, evryone else are guests that day…IT’S YOUR DAY MAKE IT SPECIAL TO YOU!

if your nervous about it, maybe choose jewlery and or a hair piece that pulls up the ivory underlay like an ivory flower piece in your hair or keep your veil on, either way, it’s gorgeous Wink
