- Wedding: October 2010
Since I have a December wedding, I have been thinking about alternatives to flowers. I love flowers, especially daisies, but the expense of fresh flowers just wasn’t going to fit in our budget. I ran across a tutorial on offbeat bride on how to make an ornament bouquet: http://offbeatbride.com/2009/01/diy-ornament-bouquet I was excited, since I already had purchased around 1000 ornaments from Target a few months back (no joke, at 75% off, they were a great deal!) and I had some tulle just laying around from other craft projects, I decided to give it a whirl. I ommited the Christmas lights, and just hot glued tulle inbetween the bulbs rather than tieing it with floral wire…and I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think??
Excuse my gray sleeve in this photo…
Here I will apologize for my ragged attire…
All in all, I’m pretty pleased. I’m planning to use this bouquet as mine, and make smaller versions for my bridesmaids. The total cost of this bouquet is probably right around $5.00.
