- Wedding: March 2014
I just finished up our Save the Dates! After searching high and low for ideas and templetes we were able to put together something uniquely and completely homemade.
We started by creating the Save-the-date card. I found an editable template online and had them printed at Kinkos for cheap. We also created the calendar in Microsoft word and just printed those at home (they are small enough to fit many one one sheet of card stock). Both of these were glued to a strip of colored card stock that we punched along the side with a paper punch at Joanns. We then glued it all to a sheet of Kraft paper (which I LOVE and kind of goes with our wedding theme).
The pictures were taken in our homemade fake photo booth! We used a chalkboard and wrote the words “save” “the” “date” “march 20,2014”. Some of the pictures were cut off but I didn’t mind because it’s represents us and our goofy ways.
I edited them in a free program called Picasa. We had them printed at Walgreens after cutting them out we put magnets on the back. We just bought a roll of magnets at Hobby Lobby and cut them to fit the photo strips. I then used a small hole punch and punched a hole in each photo on the top.
I tied Bakers twine onto each as well as punched out circles that were individually stamped and a sparkley heart (for the fun of it). I cut out the little rings on my cricut!
This was a lot of work but it was still a lot of fun to put together – thanks to the help of my mom, both sisters and my fiance. =)
Let me know if you have any questions!
I hope you enjoy!
