I love these! Can you post some details please?
Thanks!! They were actually pretty easy to do, but time consuming. I took one of our engagment photos and edited it a bit and added the wording in photoshop. Then all I did was print them out on iron transfer paper (the kind you use on white t-shirts, not dark, so they print off backwards). Then I just ironed them on! I used basswood that I got from Michael’s. It came in strips that I had my step-dad cut, so I was able to make about 4 STD per strip of wood.
I think these are pretty awesome and unique. Are you going to put a magnet on them? Or a hole with a string? Or just send them? Check with the post office, you may be able to mail them as a postcard – or they may require a letter stamp.
In your photo the edges look a bit rough? Maybe a light sanding?
Yes we did end up sanding them down. This was our rough draft. We put magents on the back and sent them in envelopes. They required 64 cent stamps to mail.
Oh wow, I am totally envious! I love your save the dates! I am having an outdoors theme and this probably would have been nice for me to do, but I did something much simplier. You did an amazing job!!
