We are getting married Oct. 2nd and around here that is right when the fair season begins, one my fiance and I’s favorite treats at the fair is Candy Apples. So for our favors we figured why not treat our guests to a candy apple for the favor since it is fair season and all! Plus it helps that my little sister runs an apple orchard!
What we decided since we are planning on having about 230 guests that we are going to do 300 candy apples in all.
100 chocolate dipped
we are also getting a large selection of toppings to make all the apples a little extra flair, and of course the guests are going to be welcom to swap apples with people if the flavor/topping isn’t to their liking. And also to prevent people for getting stuck with an apple that has a topping they hate or a flavor they hate with noone to swap with, we are doing to extra apples, probably half of the extras will be kept wrapped and set out on the dessert table (for the people who couldn’t swap if they wanted too) with the remainder of the extras being sliced up and put out on the dessert table for people to snack on, becuase I know I would want to take my apple home to eat!
All of the bridal party is coming to help make and we are very fortunate to be able to use the kitchen at the orchard to make all of them, since they make candy apples there and sell them. But as long as you get some friends and you have a little bit of space and a spot to store them before the big day anyone can make candy apples and pick toppings of your choice to spice them up a little bit!
