- Wedding: August 2011
We incoporated the Vietnamese factor of our wedding in our favors.
We chose some cookies and sweets associated with our love story: where I lived, where FI lived, where me met/fell in love and we we were living at the time of the wedding. For the sweets from Vietnam we had green bean cubical cakes (half inch each dimension) called bánh Ä‘áºu xanh. They were very light weight, easy to transport and also not avalable in shop where I lived. The guests were amused by their tastes. They are traditional sweets from the North of Vietnam (where I was born and my family is also from there).
The illustration content card was inspired by luxury chocolate illustration card that tells you what kind of sweets you will get in the box and why we chose them.
The quantity of the items was chosen because of the wedding date: 24 Aug
DIY illustration card (3.5”x3.5”) printed on lilac paper. Two sides: Vietnamese and Dutch. This is the translation of the card only. We didnt have it in English.
Our guests recieved the favor box (4”x4”x2”) at the end of the reception. It was wrapped in dark ivory soft gift wrap, tied with purple satin and delivered in an ivory organza bag)
