I love all the projects that you did! Can I ask how you pinned the name on? What did you use? How were they displayed at the wedding?

These look lovely! Did they take long? I’ve made a few of these in the past but they took quite awhile per flower – maybe it was faster once you’d made a few? In any case… they look amazing – great job 🙂

I made similar ones for my daughters wedding.  Once you get the hang of folding them, they go pretty quickly.  I used wrapping paper because card stock was hard to fold. Scrap booking paper would work as well, but I couldn’t find the right colors.  I also tried origami paper, but again had trouble finding the right colors.  A glue gun works best because you don’t have to wait for it to dry like Elmer’s.  We had the names of guest printed on one leaf and their table number on the other leaf with a little jewel in the center.  We also had two different color flowers to let the wait staff know what each guests meal would be.

@Itsourday2012: GORGEOUS! What size are the flowers?

@stitch1122: I love the colors you used…purple and green. They are awesome!

congrats on your recent wedding

you did a FANTASTIC job on these.

Our tables are very very simple and making a few of these for the tables out of shiny papers could be an elegant way of adding a bit of sparkle.

How long do you think it would take a novice to make a flower……….

@Tv   It takes a few minutes to fold the five pieces you need to make one flower.  I can’t say exactly how much time, but once  you get the hang of it they do go pretty quickly.  I folded all the pieces first, then used the glue gun to put them together and that didn’t take much time at all.  I hope this helps.

Where did you get the paper for this? This is exactly what I’ve been trying to do in the same color. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find paper in eggplant!! Thank you!!
