Oh wow I love it! I have been stressing the last two days that my colors won't work but this is beautiful. I wanted to do jewel colors and my centerpiece flowers a mix of pink purple and red and this is now my go to inspiration photo! Do you think it will be too dark to put my pink, purple and red flowers in emerald green vases? Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me what the red pomanders are sitting on and also are the purples and pinks carnations or another type of flower? My wedding is a few weeks after Valentines so I'm hoping to luck out on some after-holiday sales:)

Hi Cgraceh,

Oh I'm so glad my pics were able to help you!! I had initially planned for only varying shades of purple with some fuschia - but it was very difficult to get a variety of darker purples in Cabo. It ended up being more "pink" than I had initially imagined, but in the end it was so nice and looked amazing in the evening. My florist warned me, so I was ok with it and just trusted her to make it fabulous.

I love the idea of purple, pinks and red. Its hard for me to imagine the use of emerald green - but I know what you're trying to go for with the jewel colors. Do you have pics of what your linens and other accents will look like? I think it could work. IMO, I would go for maybe see through green class vases, so its not sooo dark. If that makes sense?  The red pomanders are fushcia /magenta carnations packed VERY tightly (the only way I would be ok with carnations at a wedding, but that's just me). They are sitting on these purple glass candlesticks things. The glass was see through. It looked really nice. I also used a combination of wood vases along with some glass vases and lots of mercury candles. I'll see if I can get some more pics of it for you (I'm on a loaner laptop today, so I don't have all my wedding pics handy).

I'll be back later!  :)

Thanks for the info on your flowers. I love them the more I look at them. Sounds like they were all real flowers too? Just beautiful! More pix would be fabulous whenver you can.

Stunnung!!!! Do u have any decor items  such as candle sticks for sale?

Soooo beautiful!  I have the same concept for my tables... any chances you're purging your hanging votive holders and crystals?

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! I am planning my wedding in Cabo for August 27th of this year and I too am having an imperial setup dinner in the evening time. Who was your florist? Was the table lighting enough for your guests to see eachother?

My ceremony and reception are both going to be on the beach so I have to do major lighting but I am also on a budget. Do you have any ideas on what else I could do to enhance the lighting factor?

Ooooh I'm so sorry I didn't see all the follow questions over the last few months. I didn't subscribe to the thread and so missed it all. I'll try to answer what I can, but hope I'm not too late.

I'm actually not selling any of the decor. I brought "fake" mercury votives with me that I purchased at Micheal's here in the states. Those were fairly inexpensive and we've used them since for post wedding reception and holiday parties. Most everything else was rented. Other than the table runner which I made out of material we found in SF. The catering/decor company loved them so much, they bought them off me.

My catering company provided these incredible, larger mercury votives. They are awesome! Unfortunately I don't have close up pics of them. Argh.  The iron trees and hanging votives were also provided by my catering / decor company. The company is called Lazy Gourmet. I highly recommend them! Our coordinator was Patricia and she was just amazing. So easy to work with. She helped with so many things...referrals to other vendors, etc. Loved her! The food was incredible as well.

ckgonzalezwedding - Cabo wedding...YAY!!! You'll love it. We could not have imagined a more perfect setting. We also contemplated having the reception right on the beach, but since we were splurging on this villa, we figured just do it all there (but ceremony was right on beach).  In addition to the candle lighting, we also had purple lighting placed around the villa. That really helped and it was enough for everyone to see each other. It was a really cool effect as well. We worked with a company called Oxten for the lighting. I will post more pics of what it looked like. Oxten also provided the speakers, mic and stuff for the ceremony on the beach.

My florist was Elena Damy. I highly recommend her!! She is a bit pricey, but worth every penny. She and her husband work together (he seems to handle most all communication and business side of things) They are soooo nice.  I consulted for some time with another florist who is also pretty good, but I sort of felt like he would said YES to everything I asked and in the end I wasn't 100% sure he was able to get these things (if all the other florists were saying it wasn't possible). In the end, I am sure he would have delievered something very nice as I really did like all his pics. But I like to know what I'm getting upfront and the communication throughout was poor. Elena and her husand Carlos were awesome to work with.

When we had contemplated a beach reception we were thinking of setting up posts and stringing lights across over the table. I think something like that would be awesome. And you'll definitely need something since you'll be out on the beach. ahhhhh.....jealous. I wish I could do it all over again!! Please feel free to message me if you need help with anything!

Florist: Elena Damy

Catering / decor: Lazy Gourmet

Lighting: Oxten

Reception: Villa Bellissima in Pedegral.
