I think I have finally decided on what to do for my centerpiece and I mocked it up this weekend. I plan on using one painted mason jar with several paper flowers in the middle – then I will put several small potted plants – the venue also supplies several votive candle holders per table. What do you think of the center part of the centerpiece?

bump… any thoughts on if you think this is interesting? I’m spending a LOT of time folding the flowers!

This is beautiful!! Is that scrapbooking paper? And how did you make the flower with I think its a button?? I also like the idea of the several potted plants 🙂

Thanks! The flowers with the buttons in the middle are Kusudama flowers: http://foldingtrees.com/2008/11/kusudama-tutorial-part-1/. I just attached some 18 gauge floral wire to the buttons and pulled it through the center for a sort of stem. The paper I used was some nice high-quality scrapbooking paper that happened to be on clearance at Michaels. 1 sheet of 12×12 will make about 2 small-sized Kusudama flowers that are in the picture above.
