- Wedding: July 2013 - Antigua, Guatemala
Before the wedding, I searched and searched for the perfect shoe and ended up buying a silver pair but was never really feeling happy about them.
I finally found the most comfortable of “fake” heels. 🙂 I call them fake because they look really high, but because of the slight platform front, they aren’t. (My kinda heel!) They were Nine West shoes called Sharima and they come in all sorts of colors.
My friend who’s super crafty, used permanent markers called “Mark It” from Bic to draw directly on the shoes. It worked perfectly and each drawing, was custom and meaningful to us.
The birdies were the logo we used for the wedding. On the side of the shoes she drew the places…Ontario (which is where we met and where I am from), Guatemala (which is where our wedding was held) and then Trinidad (which is where my husband grew up). The building is the ruin where our ceremony was located.
This side describe the progression of our relationship…from the our first date and the date of our engagement
