The flower I actually purchased from the bridal salon where I got my dress. When I picked up my dress, I was still really undecided about veil or no veil, so they had the flower and it matched so well that I just picked it up as my back up. Kind of an impulse by, but turned out to be a good one.
Lol, let's just say my head felt pretty heavy by the time the night was over. Actually, in all reality the extensions weren't that bad...I just have really, really fine hair to begin with and normally keep it cut in a bob style, so for the volume I wanted we used 2 wider wefts (one around 4 inches wide, and one maybe 5.5 inches wide) that were placed at the back of my head, one closer to my neck and one up higher towards the middle of the back of my head. We also placed probably 4 to 5 smaller wefts (each between an inch and two inches wide) wherever they were needed to fill in gaps in the curls.
The girl who actually did my hair for the wedding, was not the person I orderd my hair extensions from. The girl I ordered from did a consultation and everything and recommended that I purchase two sets of extensions. One was multi-tonal for the under layers of my hair and the other was the lighter blonde color that matches the top layers of my hair. While buying two sets gave us plenty of hair to work with, it also cost a little more than I had been planning to spend. My friend who did my hair for the wedding thought that that I got less hair per set than normally comes with the brand her salon uses. So, it sounds like there might have been a different brand I could have purchased to get the same amount of hair for less. My advice, if someone tells you, you need to order two sets of extensions think it over carefully and maybe go for a second consultation somewhere else before making a purchase.
This is BEAUTIFUL. This is weird but it reminds me of that braided bread you get around easter... the golden color, it's just gorgeous! (Carb-a-holic here...). Looks like the extensions worked great!
@amp0166 - I'm really glad I did the extensions. I would have been really limited without them. Not only is my hair extremely fine, but it grows mind-numbingly slow. So even after just getting minor trims for about 10 months leading up to the wedding, my hair was just getting to the point where it was brushing the tops of my shoulders.
@kjpugs - your comment was a hilarious start to my Friday! LOVE it! As a fellow carb-a-holic I heartily agree that it does kind of look like the braided bread, haha. Hmmm...is it lunchtime yet??
With the help of just a few (read many) clip in hair extensions.
