A few days ago, I was looking for some creative ideas for some Save the Dates from some other bees. I really liked the idea of the magnet photo, so I decided to try it out for myself. It was so easy! All I had to do was upload a photo of my fiance and I to photobucket.com and use the text application to write “Save the Date!, June 5, 2010”. Afterwards, I used peaceluvinbride’s wonderful suggestion of vistaprint.com to upload the photo on their website to be printed as small magnets. The magnets should be here in 2 weeks! Thanks for the idea, peaceluvinbride! Although I haven’t seen them yet, I looove the way they look online. I’m not sure how I’m going to send them out, so if you have any ideas/suggestions, that would be awesome! Thanks again to the bees!

I love that picture! The colors just pop so well.
For sending out my save the date magnets I used photo corners to attach the magnet to a note card. I bought the note cards and their envelopes (all together in a set made by Wilton). I printed using my printer onto the cards and envelopes. http://www.weddingbycolor.com/eggman/milestones/74223 My inspiration was this post by Mrs. Champagne: http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/09/10/we-just-cant-wait-please-save-the-date/

We are using the same large magnets from Vistaprint.com for our STD’s. We took 5×7 cardstock and sliced 2 slits on the opposing diagonal corners and then tucked the diagonal corners of the STD’s in there. Slipped it into an enveloped that I lined with printed wrapping paper and will be sending them off next week!
(Cardstock & Envelopes from cardsandpockets.com, wrapping paper from Papyrus, I made my own liner template when I realized the ones I have from papersource weren’t fitting the cardsandpockets envelopes well).
