Finally complete! Our Save the Dates designed after old playbills. I also created an envelope liner using gorgeous handmade wrapping paper from a local paper store.
I did the printing for all the pieces on my Canon photo printer, on Envelopments Ecru Linen stock. The 2nd picture shows the front and back of the card.
Cost for 100 invitations:
4x5 Envelopes - .32 x 100 = $32
4x5 Cardstock - .20 x 100 = $20
Wrapping Paper for Envelope Liners - $3 x 5 = $15
Dotto Dot Dispenser to Attach Liners - $8
TOTAL = $75
I just used the ink I had in my printer, so I don't know what that would have come out to.
I made them. I used Photoshop to design it and then tricked my printer into thinking I was printing a "borderless" 5x7 photo... even though it's actually a 4x5ish Envelope. :) That was the only way to get it to print all the way to the edge.
Those are FANtastic! I just created an invite for my Grandpa's surprise 80th birthday and had a wonderful time working on them. I bet you enjoyed the process :) I look forward to creating all of my wedding suite!
Those look amazing!! May I ask where you found the images for the envelopes? Also, I have been looking for a green banner for my Save the Dates and I can't find one anywhere; may I ask where you found that too? Again, fantastic job! I only hope that mine turn out half as well!
lillindy - I don't have an Etsy shop but I have been thinking about it! I'm a web designer, but doing these wedding things I'm realizing how much I love paper and print design. :) And it's hard to find a place to do cute "to" addressing (other than calligraphers), especially at an affordable price.
militarywife -- On the envelopes, I commissioned someone to create the aspen tree (I couldn't find one I loved), and then I placed a bookplate graphic over it (from iStockPhoto - http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-4617020-book-plates.php). The banner was part of a vector set on iStockPhoto (http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-4279915-graphic-banners.php). You would need a vector program like Illustrator to change the colors and remove the extra detailing, though.
