Centerpiece for dear friends Brian and Monica. First time playing with colored water, and floralytes. Two types of centerpieces, one was in a 7″ tall vase, the other in a 24″ tall vase with blue crystals.
For those planning on submerged flowers, STRONGLY recommend egg sinkers (can get in the fishing section of a sports store) to make sure your flowers don’t float.

Those are GORGEOUS!! Did you DIY all the centerpieces?

Yup! My mom drove down from Chicago and helped me out. We worked away on centerpieces and ceremony arrangements from about 9A Friday – 3:30A Saturday. (With about an hour or so break for rehearsal dinner)

I love this! What type of flower is the long stemmd flower, and did you use florist tape to combine the flowers or styrofoam?

Hey Lovely Job… they are spectacular! Were did you get the crystals?

@ slhouda: The long stem flower is James Storei Orchids. For the shorter vases, I used this foam for the flowers –
For the larger columns, I used these –
If you do end up having flowers fall out of your foam, try using oasis floral glue which will help hold it all in.

@ Hottiebun: The crystals I purchased from Jamali Garden
I purchased their 8″ crystals, but they also offer 6′ strands.
