I was thinking about it. I was going to get a photo album and buy a polaroid (assuming I can find one for cheap!) and then have guests take picures, insert them into the album and then write something underneath. But I’m still in the planning stages …

didn’t they stop making polaroid film and cameras? I was thinking of something similar. So if you find anything out you should post! I would love to see a finished product!

We did this, but we didn’t use and actual poloroid. We bought a POGO printer, it prints small pictures with a sticky back in seconds. It turned out great!

We’re using digital cameras, but having an instant photo printer there.  The advantage of this is that we then have the digital versions (for our Web site, Facebook, etc.) as well as the printed ones.

@pinklady: how was the quality of the images from the POGO?  I think it’s a great concept but was curious on how the images turned out.

We are planning on having a photo guestbook as well, but we are borrowing my grandparents photo printer and having two digital cameras going with a couple of rotating volunteers to man the printer. One photo takes about 2 minutes to print, but you can also print out more than one copy on a 4×6 sheet which leaves one copy for the book and we are planning on saving the other half for the thank you cards to all our guests. Our wedding isn’t until next summer, but we will be doing some trial runs over the holiday break.

Hi everyone, just wondering how your photo books turned out.  I’m hoping to do one in Aug 2012 and would love to see how things went for you!  I’m also debating the polariod vs. digital camera and printer.  Any feedback would be great!
