About a week ago we mailed out our wedding invitations, and after I got that DIY project done I started to focus on the rehearsal dinner. Mark and I have gone back and forth on exactly what we wanted to do for our rehearsal dinner. First and foremost, we knew that we did not want to have a traditional rehearsal dinner at a local restaurant. Since we are inviting our extended families, we knew that the kids would not have fun sitting in a stuffy place having to behave all night, listening to boring “adult” conversations.
We knew we wanted to have a fun rehearsal dinner, and eventually we settled on having a BBQ at Mark’s house! Although the house is not huge, we have a great back yard that will be perfect for outdoor games and having fun!
Now that we had the details settled it was time to make the rehearsal dinner and wedding rehearsal invitations. Since we are trying to do as many of the wedding projects we can ourselves, I have been designing most of our invitations and other paper productions for the wedding. We carried our wedding colors (blue, purple and green) through to the rehearsal dinner invitations to keep the theme consistant and I love the results in the end!
