Seeing as the vase is wrapped anyways I am wondering if you could use something else, those look to be about the size of a metal coffee can, or for smaller ones just a can.  Just a $ saving suggestion, those vases can get expensive.

@ Can’t pick a date: I did something similar to this for my sister’s graduation party. I went to the 99 Cents store and found 2 vases and even 1 tall drinking glass –all different heights and wrapped each one with purple satin ribbon I bought at Michael’s. The ribbons are on sale now for $1.99. I put white roses in each and it looked beautiful. So yes, to answer your question you can use whatever you want—it’s wrapped and people won’t probably notice.

did you use normal white craft kids glue? im currently trying to do this with those exact vases and i used martha’s suggestion of double sided tape but unless you wrap the tape all the way around and cover the vase completely with it you can see the lines from it

What type of flowers did you use? Those are beautiful! Also, how far in advance did you make these?

Very pretty. How did you finish the ribbon when you were done wrapping it? Just with the glue dots? Thanks.
