This is such a great idea!!!! Did you make it? If so, do you mind giving details? Also, do you know right off the top of your head how much the postage price difference is if you do a postcard as opposed to the normal RSVPs w/ envelopes? Sorry to ask so much, I’m just getting overwhelmed by all the different options out there! Thanks in advance for any advice =) Happy planning!
Just an FYI for all the upcoming brides out there . . . postage is due to increase in January 2011.
@clemster I’m so sorry, I just saw your comment. If you are still interested, I made them on vistaprint.com If you sign up for their email offers they send out specials for 100 free postcards ALL THE TIME, like every other day. Then you can customize them how you want (uploading photos is extra unless you receive an offer that includes free uploads) and then you just have to pay shipping of $6.54. The stamps for the postcards only come in a polar bear photo, but they are $.28 as opposed to $.44.
I am going to send you a message too, just in case you don’t see this.
I just saw this and I loved the idea!
I hate to be a “noob” about this… But how would this work? Do you send a postcard, and they send a postcard back? Or do you send a postcard in an envelope and then they send it back? I love this idea! So if you could explain thatd be great.
@ThePinkTyrant Yes, you put a stamp on the postcard and send it with the invitation. Then your guest fills out their name and checks the box and just puts in the mail back to you. I also gave the option of RSVP-ing online for those who might want to keep the card (which were quite a few people) because of the picture. This eliminates having to buy extra envelopes for the RSVP because they can just drop it in the mail as is. Hope this helps!
aubrav: Hi I don’t know if you will get this but if you do can you please email me the templates for your invites. They are really nice and unique. I’ve been looking for a format that would allow me to use a poem and this would be perfect. Thank you in advance. [email protected]
