Save the Dates for a casual wedding

Save the Dates for a casual wedding

These are the save the date cards for our wedding this summer. It's taking place in the backyard of the house that belonged to my great-grandparents (now owned by my Mom). We're doing a casual thing and found these postcards of old shots of Oxford, MS, and the university that makes up so much of the town. Since our colors are blue and grey, black and white photos + bright blue pen = STD win. Even better, everyone's loved them and thought it was a brilliant idea! Yey!

Those are so neat! I so wish I had thought of something like this for the burgh. Are those vintage post cards or reprints of ones?

@ Labrat - These are actually a series of postcards made from old photos of the town and university. They were made by a company called Arcadia Publishing, which makes books (and postcards!) for various states, regions and cities/towns across the US. Since we have so many out-of-town guests, many of whom haven't been to Oxford before, it was a fun quirky choice that everyone's loved. :)

I'm getting married in Oxford on July 17 too! I saw some postcards like these at Rebel Rags and almost used them for my STDs. Woah, small world. :)
