We live in Connecticut, and my daughter saw a beautiful invitation at a bridal show in a silk box; but the vendor was difficult to get in touch with. I decided to try and get these beautiful boxes myself. I found them online from handbag-asia.com in Thailand. I worked with Dennis Wisser. He was amazing. I was skeptical ordering from another country. He had the lowest prices, was so patient when we changed our minds a couple of times, always answered my e-mail within 24 hours and helped us with everything. He had PayPal which made me feel more comfortable about placing an order. From the time I ordered the boxes to the time I received them, it was approximately three weeks. I even called someone in U.S. Customs at our local airport for advice on this order and to make sure I would not get hit with a large customs tax or something. My boxes were delivered right to my door. Dennis notified me a couple of days before that they were on the way. The shipping company contacted me as well. I had a tracking number for my shipment. The boxes are absolutely beautiful and just what we wanted. We are so excited to have our invitations go out in these beautiful boxes. I would recommend Dennis and Handbag-asia.com to anyone who wants something different and beautiful. We are so happy we ordered from him.

pennysroka: this was very helpful as I am looking for these boxes for my daughters Quinceanera party.. Is that pockets on the side for the RSVP card and directions.

Yes, but they are on the small side. You can only fit a card that is about 3 1/4\” at max. We are having our invitation person order them to fit. We are using a commercial 6 3/4 envelope which is actually 3 5/8 by 6 1/2 for the reply. We are folding it in half with the stamp facing out and tucking it behind the response card. The boxes are so beautiful, I don\’t think anyone is going to care that the envelope is folded.
For the wedding we are putting the directions, accommodations and reception card layered on one side and the RSVP and envelope on the other. The actual invitation is in the middle under the ribbons. They are absolutely beautiful. We ordered the mailers for them on ULine.com. They were pretty inexpensive. I think it cost us $60 for 150 mailers. They are white and labeled \”candy box mailers.\” They fit perfect in them.
I hope you enjoy them! If you order, please tell Dennis Wisser I said, hi! He said if I got to Thailand, he will take me to lunch; and if he comes here, he will definitely take me to lunch. He was a great guy to work with. I was really nervous about ordering from Thailand, and my husband said it was going to be a train wreck. Always great to prove your husband wrong. LOL…..
