I used ostrich feathers in white, bleached white peacock feathers, white goose biots, and a white marabou strip for the feathers, which all came from etsy (I just bought the cheapest ones).
Here is the shop for the marabou: http://www.etsy.com/shop/aLittleScrappy
The silk flowers came from Michaels. The flowers were similar to this (http://www.michaels.com/Orlane-Rose-Stem/fl0773,default,pd.html?cgid=products&start=51), but they were all a lustre cream with pearl accents and silver centers. I also bought the fabric tape there. I had to trim about 6 inches off the bottom of the stem, and trim all the leaves off, but I just used regular scissors. Then to break the wire in the stem I just bent it back and forth til it broke. I used 7 stems for a big bouquet and so that it had a nice round shape. Using an odd number of flowers (5 or 7) really helped it to naturally take a pleasing shape.
Once it was all shaped, I used fabric tape to wrap it around the stems from top to bottom and keep it’s shape. I wrapped once from top to bottom. Then I started adding the feathers in to in between the stems and all around the bottom. Once I had a few feathers positioned, I would tape around the stems (just at the top) again.
After all the feathers were added, I wrapped marabout around the bottom. I just wove it through the stems over and under, over and under, so it would fill in any gaps.
The ribbon for the handle came from Walmart and was like $2 for a huge spool. I wrapped that all the way around from top to bottom, cut it, and tied it off at the bottom. I sealed it with a teeny bit of glue too.
The brooches all came off of eBay. I just opened them and pinned them through the center, then put a drop of hot glue on each clasp so they wouldn’t open. I searched for the cheapest clear brooches I could find. Most of them came in and were quite sparkly….only one set was really cheap ($2 for two) and not as shiny, so I put those in the bridesmaid bouquets!
I think that is pretty much it! It was super easy and I did it in a night!
