I made 3 cake stands for my cakes at a house shower. 6” round worked best for me.
3 clear glass plates $1ea
3 clear glass glasses $1ea (plates and glasses from Dollar Tree)
1 tube of E-6000 industrial strength adhesive $2.67 or $2.87 at Walmart (can’t remember exact price)
We used a yellow marker to trace the bottom of the glass on the plate. Then we ran a line of glue around the bottom of the glass and around the yellow marker on the plate. When we pressed the glass on the plate, we place something heavy on the top overnight to secure the hold. And viola! There ya go!
BTW.. after you placed the glue on both the glass and plate, wait 5-10 minutes before you put them together.

I love that idea. Martini glasses would look great too.

I love the crackled finish the glass and plate. I love this idea. I am going to try it for my candy buffet.

Thank you! It takes no time to make you just have to wait overnight for it to securely hold. If you have more time, I’d at least make them 36 hours before you need them. Just to make sure that the glue is dry.
Martini glasses would look great! And the Dollar Tree (I love that place!) they have purple, blue, green, and clear glasses. They’re very pretty.
I have even seen them made with coffee cups and sundae cups work great. They look more like you bought it. I’m glad everyone likes! I will soon post a video on youtube of how you make them!
Will keep you posted!
