- Wedding: September 2010
This is a look into simple but affordable Save the Dates that we created that went with our wedding colors and our wedding theme which was Baby Blue & Light Grey with Starfish. Everything was purchased mostly from PaperSource, which is my favorite store thus far.
I started off by printing from a template that is offered on PaperSource’s website which allows me to print two STD’s on their size A7 cardstocks. I used the color bluebell and printed with a darker grey ink. I then stamped each STD with the single starfish stamp from PaperSource in Quicksilver Colorbox Inkpad. I then used a clear embossing powder and embossed the starfish’s. I then attached this to a shimmer silver size 4bar cardstock paper from PaperSource with a medium size ‘zot’ affixed to the center of the card. I then tied a silver satin ribbon sized 1/4″ around the bluebell cardstock only so you would not see the ribbon appear on the shimmer silver cardstock.
For the envelopes, I used a size 4bar envelope in shimmer silver. I then purchased a shimmer baby blue paper from Kelly Paper to use as an envelope liner which I cut out using the envelope liner template from papersource.
I then created envelope closure stickers made from the Zyron machine from the same paper I used for the envelope liner.
After the envelopes were stuffed with STD, I sealed with the stickers and stamped a little design to complete it.
