@jinnyl: I ordered them online at The Craft Pedlars (link below). I think they also used to be available at The Paper Source. Just a FYI: they come in kraft cardboard. I spray painted them gold and covered them in gold glitter. The bases are regular wood bases I got from Michael's which I also spray painted gold. Hope this helps!
I love this and I am working with my florist to see which flower works best. How many calla lillies went into each vase? It looks like 1 tall one and 1 short one in each. Thanks!
I used real lilies for these. I actually rented the vases from the florist so she took care of everything. It probably would have been cheaper to buy them myself since I could have sold them again but it was worth it not to have 30 vases around my small apartment. :)
THIS IS PERFECT. I had centerpieces all picked out but I ended up hating them. These are just what I am looking for. Thank you so much for posting. And your table numbers are a great inspiration. Did the numbers come with the little stand yours is on? Im really thinking about getting those table numbers! Im saving this!
Thank you so much! I really have to let my florist know all the kind words everyone is saying - I'm sure she'll really appreciate it. :)
@future.mrs.schecter - The table numbers were actually a pretty simple DIY project. I posted a link to the online store I got them in a comment above. I glittered them and glued them on wood bases I got at Michaels. I also have a more in depth post on them on my personal blog which you can find in my profile. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
How much did the florist charge for this type of center piece .. I love them! Was it hard deciding on the type of center piece to go with? We're debating what our budget should be per center piece we have 75 tables
For each table, this centerpiece was about $70. We rented the three vases (each table) from my florist for $29 and then the calla lilies were $36. We got the floating candles from Save-On-Crafts.com and they were about $1 each. At $70 per table x 75 tables this would probably cost you ~$5250. You can definitely do it for cheaper if you want to buy the vases yourself because then you could resell them. But then you would have to find a place to store 225 vases...
These are beautiful! I thought I would do orchids but I might be switching to calla lilies after seeing this. Did you look anywhere else for the vases, online or at a store, before renting them? I could use suggestions for a cheap retailer.
I love the Calla Lillies!! Since mine and my BM's bouquets are all Calla lillies I was thinking about doing this too but I've only ever seen orchids. They look beautiful and you have made up my mind! :D
@mochalatte: They stayed lit the entire night (about 5 hours) and didn't go out. I got them from Save On Crafts.
@mkstockie: I think calla lillies are a little denser than some other flowers so they managed to stay in place and not float up. I don't think my florist had to do anything special to weigh them down - I think they just stayed by themselves.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments. If any of you are in the MA area, my florist was really awesome and I would definitely recommend her!

posted by Mrs. Cooper 2 years agoThere were 6 calla lilies for each table. The tallest vase (24") had 3 lilies, the medium vase (18") had 2, and the smallest vase (8") had 1.
