I blurred out names to keep it anonymous, but here’s my program, inspired by another Bee’s work, but I can’t remember who it was… so if you think I stole your idea I might have! Good job!
Each program is one half (lengthwise, or hotdog) of an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, so each is 4.25 x 11.
I used Word to write and format the program language, the monogram at the top is actually a stamp, though it would be easy enough to design without stamping.
The graphic is a brush from DeviantArt that I used with Gimp (free design program, like a low budget Photoshop)
The front has the ceremony order and the bridal party with a quote from our reading at the very bottom. The backside is a set of “top ten lists” – one from each of us – that poke fun at the fact that we didn’t get married for almost 8 years after we started dating.
I printed them on fancy textured cardstock (Eames Furniture paper, if anyone is interested) and cut them out with a paper cutter then stamped with the monogram. Total time including design time, printing, cutting and stamping… not possibly more than 10 hours. Total cost…. $35? including pro-rating the use of our ink, the paper and part of the paper cutter (I needed it for other projects, so I divided the cost evenly amongst them)
No gluing or binding needed!
