Here are the instructions to make my sweet and simple table numbers.
Firstly, stop by your local hardware store and buy a plank of wood. We bought an 84″ plank for approx. $4. Then stain the plank and let it dry (we let it dry overnight). After it is dry, cut it to the height you desire, ours are 6″ tall. After you cut them, lightly sand the tops using a less abravise block or paper, moving in an upward motion. *You dont want to sand the tops going right to left because you may chip off pieces around the edges, instead you want to go with the grain of the wood* After you lightly sand them, stain the tops as well. After they dry its font picking time!
I actually found a simple font through Microsoft Word called Segoe Script. I typed out all of the numbers I needed, 1-7 as well as the word, “Love.” I then changed the size of the font to 260 (I needed the words and letters to come out about 4″ tall, that is why the font is so large.
After this, I cut them all out! Next, grab a white crayon or pencil.
And trace out the numbers.
Then, using a thin paintbrush and white or ivory paint, paint in your letters and numbers. I actually painted them in twice to make them extra bright!
And the final product looks like this:
