I’m not exactly sure why I even went to the trouble of doing this since I’m not going to toss my garter. Mr. CurlyQ likes it so I guess I’ll wear it. 😉
I found a garter marked WAY down (from $7.99 to $0.88 so I had to get it…did I mention I can not resist a bargain?) It was white with a little tan spot on it. Kinda boring but I could work with the lace.
I took my find home and pulled out the teas bags. I used a small pan to boil water and make the tea in. (strong tea, no flavors) 😉 then my little treasure went for a swim. At this point Mr. CurlyQ thinks I have lost my mind. I let the once white with a tan spot garter soak for a several minutes then pull it out to dry. It was darker than I wanted but once I rinsed it it lightened up. It was drying time again.
I had some beads already in my crafting stash so once the once white with a tan spot garter was dry I started adding beads. (by hand…I know, now you think I have lost my mind…)
MOB’s dress had a strange little flower thing on one side that I didn’t like so I took it off and it found a new home. (added a crystal in the center of each flower cause a girl can never have too much bling.)
My colors are black, white and pale pink (my dress is ivory though..the curse of being pale and curly) with a vintage feel.
