We had corked test tubes filled with Reese's pieces (for a touch of fall color) and labeled with our wedding date and a thank you message. These were perfect for our science themed reception.
Wow I didn't even see that this made gallery of the day yesterday! Awesome! The test tubes were 14 mL. That size could hold approximately 11 reeses pieces. I felt like that wasn't enough for each guest, so I made up plenty of extra test tubes and left them in a jar by the placecard table at the entrance. They were gone like that. Each guest also had a test tube favor at their spot at the tables.
The other size I considered was 5 mL but they were just too small and most candies wouldn't fit in them (maybe mini M&M's, but that is about it).
Ah shoot, just realized I told you all the wrong website for the corks and test tubes. Lab Depot is where I got some other science things for my wedding. But the corks were actually from Indigo Instruments. I ordered size # 5 cork stoppers for 18mm test tubes. I do believe this company sells both the corks and the test tubes. http://www.indigo.com/science-supplies/gph-science-supply/cork-stopper.html?pn=33734-5#pn33734-5

posted by herobinson 2 years agoI bought the test tubes from Fischer and the corks were from http://www.labdepotinc.com/. I think the lab depot also sells test tubes too.

Where did you get the labels printed from?
posted by Kecory01 1 year ago@kecory01 - I just printed on normal address labels and painstakingly cut them down to those smaller shapes by hand.
