As I was starting my processional down 2 flights of stairs, the inevitable happened!!! As I reached the last step, I stepped on my dress and twist my ankle. Luckily I was holding on to the bannister & my dad was holding my other arm. My adrenaline was so high that I didn’t feel any pain until later that night. I made my long walk down the aisle, kicked those 5 in heels off right after our recessional, took pics, made it through first dance, father daughter dance, cake cutting, a few group dances, and a couple of trips to the photobooth before I couldn’t walk & was in excruciating pain. It was around 11pm, an hour before the reception ended that I was confined to a chair icing my ankle. I cried like a baby because i had to sit back & watch everyone else enjoy the night that I had spent a year & a half planning. Once my pity party was over, my oldest brother found me a wheel chair & wheeled me into the photobooth one last time! lol. Then it was off to the ER, where the staff was so amused to see a bride in the ER on her wedding night!
