Hi Bees!!, after realizing real flowers are outrageous and keeping in line with my 10K budget, I made these pomanders using a hot glue gun and some dollar tree red roses.
Hot glue gun
Dollar store red roses (efavormart has some bulk beauties too)
Dollar store clear candle sticks holders
5 inch Styrofoam ball (about $3 at Walmart in craft section)
Black matte spray paint
How to: Simply take the flowers off the stem and start gluing them to the Styrofoam ball.
Leave a little space where they will be attached to the candlestick. I mostly eye balled it and each ball turned out great!
*After several failed attempts at gluing the sytrofoam ball to the candlestick>> my father-in-law ended up using small wooden dowels and some melted candles to keep the ball attached to the candlestick holder. Essentially, the dowel goes into the melted candle in the holder, then the dowel sticks out and the Styrofoam ball goes onto the dowel. I have read several brides have had luck with industrial strength glues but I did not.
