I’m not even done with my DIY pillow yet, but I was so excited once it started taking form that I just had to post a picture 🙂
The luxurious ribbon was actually just a strip of decoration on a package I received a few weeks ago, and I loved it, so I kept it to use on my ringbearer pillow! Originally I was going to do a light grey ribbon, but I think the periwinkle color and criscross detail on this one looks nice.
I have yet to sew the midpoint down where the jewel and the thin ribbon need to be secured, and the edge of where I stuffed the polyester fiber still needs to be hand sewn. Other than that… it’s just about done, YAY!!

Officially complete! 🙂
Pix taken w/ my cell phone…
The back side: As you can see, I left the wide ribbon open so that the ring bearer can stick his little hand securely in there 🙂

i used a thicker thread and just pinched the center with my fingers, started from the back of the pillow and threaded it back and forth 3x with the thread criss crossing where it came through the fabric so it would be reinforced.
then before i cut the thread, i threaded it through the loop of my rhinestone button and essentially sewed it down into the center as well.
