I can't think of a single theme that the bridesmaid dress in the back ground would fit. 70s or 80s flashback theme maybe?
Either way your dress is BEAUTIFUL. Not too fancy but you might consider bustling up the train even for the walk down the aisle so that it doesn't get too gross in the sand.

It is beautiful on you! My opinion on "is it too formal, too casual for my type of wedding?"...i was worried about that too, but i say the bride can be however formal or informal she wants to be. Its her day! Regardless of the style of wedding, wear what you love! :)
I am having an elegant beach wedding this september, Hoping this dress isn't "too fancy" because I love it!!
