- Wedding: December 2012
We had orginally wanted real flowers as the toss…our colors are red and ivory. however since we are doing a victorian xmas themed wedding, my bridesmaids are carrying pomanders with red roses- which they asked for them to be fake so they can keep. I am doing a all ivory rose brooch bouquet for myself…so after deabating we decided to get flowers from A C Moore. We figured it would be a nice keepsake for whoever caught it.
Here is my toos bouquet,,,please dont mind the SOO dark pic (it was thunderstorming when I took them and its a phone camera)
Since my bouquet has feathers and crystals.. I added these to the toss… I wanted to add brooches but we were concerned about the bouquet hurting someone..so I found several old plastic buttons & ribbon that I had on hand, including victorian looking shoes ( its hard to tell from the pics), these all all very lightweight so there would be no harm to anyone
I wrapped the buttons in floral tape, wound them into the bouquet and then glued them in place as well. I then took xmasy velvet red ribbon and wrapped the bouquet. In person its much lighter looking, overall im happy with the way it turned out, it will bring both the bridesmaids & my bouquet together and it has touches of our theme
The total cost… Under $10!
( bouquet originally $12.99 used 40% off coupon $5.55, ribbon on sale last xmas $1, various buttons bought in the last year from AC Moore and Michaela $3 max)
