These are cute. I agree that taller vases and longer branches would be a good idea. Im sure it will be beautiful once done.

Great start.  I think for added drama I would definately go with the taller vases.  To me the eucalyptus branches look out of place.  For added colors I would use teal colored glass beads instead of the eucalyptus.  Or I would use additional teal votives on the table however, this might be overkill.

For a cheaper filler, what if you use rocks or gravel? You can purchased colored (already washed and cleaned) gravel from the pet store like Petco or Petsmart (my fiance has several aquarium tanks). You could purchase a large bag and fill all your vases. But I am not sure if you will find orange gravel. But you will find pink, blue and white I know for sure.

And for the teal color, if you wanted to add something different, maybe you can add some kind of hanging thing like paper cranes (I am making paper cranes for our centerpiece), flowers, etc. Or purchase teal colored hanging crystals. You can see if shopwildthings.com has your color (shopwildthings has the cheapest crystals… believe me I did a lot of price comparison… and they are even cheaper than like downtown LA… in case you live in Los Angeles).

I am using crystal water beads for my filler.  Here’s a link to the web site if you have time I’d search eBay for the best prices. http://www.crystalsoil.com/

Hope this helps!

For the filler if you are going inexpensive consider using sand and dying it to your tastes (or find white or black sand to make a statement). Similarly rock salt with pebbles or even dyed (not sure if you can) would really cut down on the budget and stabilize the branches.
