These will be hangin on shepherd hooks for inbetween every other pew. They are 6″ styrofoam balls but with the flowers they ended up being a total of 10″ pomanders. Wasnt expecting them to be that big but they actually look better! My colors are like a golden orange and teal.

Can you tell my what kind of flowers you used, and approx how may it took to cover the ball? I”ve purchased the balls (10) but haven’t tackled this project yet. Let me know if you could please. Happy Planning!~

I just made two pomanders for my flower girls. I bought the 5 inch floral foam balls and it took me 84 roses for each ball. The flowers I used were apple green roses, which weren’t really open a lot, so that’s why it took so many per ball. If you used a flower that was fuller, it would take a lot less to make one. Hope this helps!

I bought from walmart bushels of roses with 7 rose heaads that were very full and real looking for 3$ Which is the cheapest i found i searched everywhere they were the nicest ones also, I did find similar rose bushels with 4 heads @ dollar tree for 1$ but they were much smaller and most dollar tree stores only carry few @ a time but i bought them for fillers in case i couldnt find enough of the walmart one which i went to every walmart in a 60 mile radius lol
Hope this helps and good luck!

How long did this take to make? If you had to guess….how much do you think you have invested in these? (including everything like the balls *hehe sorry*, flowers, any wire?, ribbon, hooks, glue. Just trying to figure out if its better to make them or have someone make them? I think they are gorgeous! but I’ve read some post and it seems to cost alot to make them. Thank you! and they are very pretty!

These look almost like the ones that I made. Great job!!!
I used like 12 cream peonies & 8 red open roses for a 5″. I agree that once its done, the size is a little overwhelming. I didn’t expect it to that big either. Although I didn’t measure the final product, it just looks big to me. lol!!

I bought 6″ styrofoam balls on ebay for like 60$ for 42 of the balls so 1 ball comes out to approx =1.80$
I used 5 bushels of flowers @ 3$/bushel=15$
Ribbon i bought @ hobby Lobby 7yds for 2$ when they had their half off sale. I used 1yd per pomander= .25$
Hot glue approx 10 sticks you can buy 50 sticks for 2.00$=.40$
I also used corsage pins for added security. I used 40 pins bought them on ebay 144 for 5$ =1.50$
Total=$19 per 10-12″ pomander
I checked around local florist and they wanted anywhere from 12-20$ for a 6″ pomander. And i couldnt find any artificial pomanders that i actually liked. Hope this info helps!
