I want to DIY my wedding invites but I honestly don’t know where to begin. I figured that since you bees are so great you could help me out. Where should I start. Good places to buy paper. What kind of paper. Tell me your tips, tricks and info. Thank you in advance

I would start with understanding your theme. Google the theme and look at invitations that have been designed in that category. Then determine what are your must haves and what’s within you’re budget (if any budget has been set). This was honestly the hardest part for me I changed my theme multiple times and then realized that I LOVE all the whimsical weddings i fiund on google. It took me 7 months to nail down my invitation design but I LOVE THEM 🙂 best of luck to you!

hi!! if you’re proficient with adobe photoshop, you can definately use this program to design your wedding invites OR you can also use Word. Either one works well, but if you want something with more graphics, a photoshop type program will work best. (just from my own experience).
as far as paper, you can go to michael’s and buy the paper in bulk! if the paper is on sale, and they don’t have enough in stock, they can order it for your and you’ll still get the sale price. no charge on shipping either. I did that with my vases for the centerpieces. also check out papersource.com. they have a size guide that will help you determine what size envelopes go with different paper sizes for the invites, response cards, etc.
and font…you can get TONS for free if you google Free Fonts. download what ever would go with your theme. i’m making my own invites as well and i’m getting alof of inspiration by checking out the wedding invitation on ETSY.com =)
hope this helps you out some and happy DIY’ing!

I knew that you busy bees could help. I have been looking at lots of invites as suggested anddownloading tons of fonts. But here in lies the ultimate issue. We have no theme. At least no obvious theme. No flower or butterflies or rustic or garden. if anything our wedding is about opulence and bling and luxury. My goal is to have an elegant sparkling event. Now what?
