I got this incredible idea from Miss Duckling (thank you!) However, I don’t have anything near as cool as her Cricut…I just had good ‘ol fashioned scissors and imagination.
Ever since spotting Miss Duckling’s invites, I have been dreaming of one day doing the same thing. I showed my FI (boyfriend at the time) her post and he really liked it and wanted to do something like this for his groomsmen too! So…the very next day after my FI proposed, we headed to Michaels to gather supplies for this project.
We wanted to incorporate our wedding colors – Chocolate, deep red, and ivory. We got cardstock in various patterns in this color scheme, picked up 2 gorgeous envelope and card sets (comes in a pack of 10), some glue sticks, and for an added punch to our invites and to make them personal…he got beer stickers and I got some decorative brown ribbon.
Also inside the envelopes were handwritten notes telling each individual how much they meant to me and how much it would mean to me if there were apart of my wedding. Also because not everyone in my bridal party knows eachother, I wrote a little description about each of them so they rest of everyone would know a little about eachother.
Total, we spent $30. Breaking that down, that’s about $3/each. Sure we could have made it cheaper, but we didn’t know that Michaels has online coupons! Nor did we know exactly what we wanted, and we let 2 or 3 cardstock sheets go to waste…perhaps I’ll find some sort of project for them throughout this coming year…?
I do not have my FI’s pictures to post, but here are mine =)
