We shamelessly stole our escort cards idea from jingle96: http://diy.weddingbee.com/topic/wine-cork-escort-cards
We asked our friend and family to collect corks, then we used hot glue to bind them together, and tied mini gingham ribbon from JoAnn Fabric around them in bows. The ribbon matched the ribbon on our vanilla favors.
We used a corner punch by Martha Stewart to decorate the name cards, and printed names on the front with table names on the back, along with a tidbit about each table name.
Perfect for our winery wedding!

I’m in the middle of making mine too. I also “stole” the idea but I know it will fit perfectly into our winery wedding 🙂 Funny thing it since we are getting married in a small Texas town I was thinking about using gingham for the ribbons. I’m making wine jelly as favors and am using gingham for the tops of the jars (see an example pic of the jelly jars) and then using twine around perimeter. In the end I decided to use a mixture of claret, gold and ivory ribbon since those are our wedding colors. Here is aso a pic of the country-store looking hershey bar favors I’m making.
