I’m so excited to have come close to finishing two more DIY projects! My FI and I have just completed our wooden box centerpeices. We still need to add flowers, but we are going to get a trail run next month (so just try to visualize). We built all the boxes from scratch, burned the boxes with a blow torch and banged it up with a hammer to make it look old… then we stained them. After letting them dry my mom painted “Love” on the box and we glued a lock to the “O”. Our theme is “Key to your Heart”… so we are trying to add keys/locks into as much as we can!
We did the DIY Blue Mason Jars… it was tougher then I thought. I wanted to ensure we didn’t have streaks on the jar but it was really hard to do. Using a rag or a paint brush didn’t work well for me. So we tried putting the glass paint/thinner in the inside of the jar and it WORKED… barely any streaks… they look great! So I added a little twine and our keys to the jars… but I’d love any suggestions on how to make it look a little better… maybe a different rope? twine? ribbon? Any thoughts? Should I paint the lids? Our colors are Teal and Grey… would love any opinions!!
