So I’m having a really hard time figuring out what I want my bouquet to look like. I want it to be all white flowers and petite in size. I thought I was set on a small bouquet of Baby’s Breath, but after sitting next to a vase of the delicate flower at christmas, I learned that the smell really bothers me.
I really like the look, consistency and simplicity of one type of flower in a bouquet, but I’ve rulled out roses, calla lilies and stephanotis. They are all a bit over done and wouldn’t go with my dress, which is all lace and has a classic feel with a keyhole back. I LOVE my dress and so I want my flowers to accent it instead of taking attention away from it. Any suggestions?
Something like this is also pretty (love the shades of white), but I think it might be too big…

I make this suggestion as my dress was very similair to yours, all lace with a gold underlay with a keyhole back. I fought with flowers FOREVER to decide on what I wanted. I finally got tired of it and did truetouch white/cream hydrengeas. You would never know that they were fake and they (I think) looked gorgeous. I think it also worked for us because our main color was such a vibrant blue that the ivory toned it down alittle.

Thanks Ellis2bee for your suggestion! I like the ivory color of the flowers.

I agree with the ivory/cream flower suggestion. I think you still need a contrast between the white dress and the white bouquet, and cream flowers would do that without clashing.
Also, it’s not the Baby’s Breath that stinks. Caspia (a different kind of filler flower that looks similar to Baby’s Breath) smells awful after a while! Just remember “Cat’s Pee, Caspia”.
Just be sure to make your bouquet bigger than the bridesmaids!
